  • Paulina Vazquez, M.Sc., RSLP

    Registered SLP & Owner

    Paulina is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the Uinversity of British Colombia, She offers a wealth of knowledge and skills garnered from working with a diverse age group ranging from infants to school-aged children and teens.

    Multilingual Expertise: With significant experience working with multilingual families, Paulina is passionate about supporting bilingual language development. Paulina is fluent in Spanish and English.

    Specialties: Her competencies extend to supporting children with language delays and disorders, speech sound disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, social communication challenges, and stuttering. She is adept at using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to enhance language development. She also has a passion for working offering speech therapy workshops aimed at parents and educators so they can better support their students with diverse needs.

    Therapy Approach: Paulina firmly believes in creating a nurturing environment for learning, incorporating play, books, songs, movement, and children's unique interests into therapy sessions. She is committed to neurodiversity-aligned practices.

    Interests: Paulina loves spending time with her husband, David, and two daughters, Ruby and Leni - who you may see around the clinic! She also loves to read, and has recently become interested in bouldering.

    Paulina is registered in both British Columbia (CSHBC) and Alberta (ACSLPA). Furthermore, she is a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP) for children under age 6 in BC, indicating additional experience and mentorship working with this population.

    Kristina Stein, M.Sc., RSLP

    Kristina is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Her experience spans across a broad range of areas, such as articulation, phonology, motor speech, early language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), fluency, and social communication, working with children of all ages.

    Family-Centric Approach: Kristina prioritizes a family-centered methodology to help clients reach meaningful objectives. She finds great importance in involving parents in therapy sessions, extending the impact of her work beyond the clinical setting into daily home life.

    Specialties: Her practice covers a wide array of communication issues including articulation, phonology, motor speech disorders, early language development, AAC, fluency disorders, and social communication challenges.

    Therapy Approach: With a focus on holistic well-being, Kristina feels privileged to contribute to children's communication development and takes joy in observing their skills and confidence flourish over time.

    Recreational Interests: Outside of her professional obligations, Kristina is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and camping.

  • Erin Tollestrup Massey SLP Ruby Speech Therapy

    Erin Tollestrup Massey, M.Sc., RSLP

    Registered SLP

    Erin is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Her background includes serving children from Pre-K through elementary age with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges.

    Specialties: Her experience covers a wide range of communication difficulties, including articulation, phonology, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), early language development, literacy, and social communication challenges.

    Therapy Approach: With a focus on supportive learning, Erin believes in a holistic approach to communication to enable and empower children and families to thrive beyond the therapy room by collaborating with families to build strategies into their natural routines. She is dedicated to providing neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed care in all sessions and activities.

    Interests: When Erin is not working, she enjoys embroidery and cross stitch, spending time outside with her dog, and curling up with a good book and a warm drink.

  • Sophie Stadler, M.Sc., RSLP

    Registered SLP

    Sophie is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. She specializes in working with preschool and school-aged children. Sophie strives to ensure her practices are both family-centered and neuro-diversity affirming.

    Therapy Approach: Sophie loves to integrate a child's personal interests to make each interaction enriching and enjoyable. She believes in the power of tailored therapy to make a significant difference in the lives of her clients.

    Specialties: With a focus on young children, Sophie excels in early language intervention, articulation, phonology, motor speech, social communication, and literacy, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice.

    Recreational Interests: When she's not working, Sophie loves immersing herself in nature through long walks, hiking, and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys reading and painting.

    Language Proficiency: Sophie is fluent in both German and English, and can serve clients in both languages.

    Tori Clegg, M.Sc., RSLP

    Registered SLP

    Tori is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Her background includes working with school-aged children from kindergarten to grade 6.

    Specialties: Her practice covers a wide array of communication issues including speech sound disorders, language disorders, and social communication challenges. She is experienced in coaching teaching staff and families on how to support continued speech and language development outside of the therapy room. Tori also has extensive experience in supporting communication through the use of AAC.

    Therapy Approach: Play is a powerful vehicle for learning, and Tori embraces the importance of play in her sessions. She strives to incorporate each child’s interests into the therapy room in order to make therapy more meaningful and motivating. She is dedicated to providing neurodiversity-affirming practices and strives to create authentic connections with each child and their families.

    Recreational Interests: Outside of work, Tori enjoys exploring new walking trails with her puppy, wandering through farmer’s markets, testing out new dinner recipes, and spending time with family. She also enjoys reading and has recently started making earrings as a hobby.

  • Jomanna Sleiman, SLPA

    Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

    Jomanna is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who brings a diverse set of skills to our practice. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

    Broad Skill Set: Jomanna brings expertise in play-based therapy for children aged 2-12, including autistic children and their families. She specializes in articulation and language development, while also creating educational materials and conducting home visits to equip families with effective strategies.

    Therapy Approach: Jomanna employs a trauma-informed lens when planning and implementing therapy sessions. She places a strong emphasis on working collaboratively with therapists and families to design programs that encourage speech and language development.

    Client and Family Focus: Passionate about providing exceptional service, Jomanna has a history of implementing practical therapy goals and tracking client progress diligently. She also excels in professional communication with parents, helping them to incorporate recommended strategies into daily routines.

    Extra-Curricular Interests: Outside her professional commitments, Jomanna enjoys recreational basketball, spoken word poetry, and has volunteered with special needs athletic programs.

  • Kristy Peterson, SLPA

    Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

    Kristy is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who brings a unique skill set to our practice. She has a BA (Sociology) from the University of Winnipeg and over 25 years of experience working with diverse learners in the Manitoba education system. For the past six years, Kristy has specialised in speech and language development programming.

    She has a wealth of experience working with children, ages 4 through 17, with exceptional needs in school and community social service agencies.

    Therapy Approach: Kristy likes to plan game based therapy sessions that encourage engagement from her clients and their families. She works closely with SLPs to develop programming and strategies to help clients meet their goals. She believes clients who have fun and enjoy therapy will ultimately experience more success.

    Extra-Curricular Interests: Kristy enjoys reading, hiking, going to movies with her family, watching her boys curl, volunteering and exploring her new city of Edmonton!

    Kristy is certified with the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta (ThAAA).
